A Kindness Project named Secrets

Founded in 2020, Secrets is dedicated to supporting youth aged 13-21 in Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley. Our mission is to offer judgment-free opportunities for young people to improve their life situations. We are committed to taking action and addressing critical needs in our community.

Our Goals

Our primary goal is to provide connections and alternatives for youth in crisis, aiming to reduce rates of drug and alcohol abuse and suicide among young people. We achieve this through several key initiatives:

  • Trust Relationships: We create safe spaces through teen-friendly activities and meals, food distribution, social media communication, phone support, and street outreach.
  • Boots on the Ground Outreach: We actively engage with youth in their environments, asking questions and listening to their needs.
  • Help, Guidance, and Access to Services: We offer direct assistance and connect youth to vital resources, including caseworkers, job opportunities, mental health services, rehab programs, housing options, and financial aid.

Among Us

We provide a readily accessible safety net of support at no cost to youth and their families, offering alternatives to addiction, helplessness, and hopelessness.

Our partners include a diverse range of organizations and community stakeholders:
